Have you ever thought of adopting an adult cat?  They’re cute, loving and playful.  They’re well trained and will provide many years of companionship. In fact, they’re just purr-fect!
Every summer animal shelters and rescue groups everywhere are filled to the brim with felines, especially kittens, seeking their forever homes. Of course, many people fall head over heels for the kittens.  After all, they are extremely adorable. But the presence of kittens often means that the amazing adults stay in our shelters for much longer than they…or we…would like!
For a limited time, the Connecticut Humane Society is running a promotion called Project Purr-fect in order to give these wonderful, amazing adult felines an even better chance at finding their forever homes.
All cats over one year old who have been seeking their forever home for more than 30 days will be available for a $50 discount off the minimum adoption donation. These cats will come with the very same adoptions benefit package that is always available. Just look for the Project Purr-fect signs on their cages when you visit any one of our adoption centers!

The adoptions benefit package includes:

• FREE 30-day policy of ShelterCare pet health insurance and FREE microchip by 24PetWatch.
• A consultation with our staff to help select the most suitable feline for your lifestyle.
• FIV/FELV testing, flea treatment and deworming treatment.
• Spay/Neuter.
• Appropriate vaccinations according to the age of the pet, including rabies.
• Identification tags and rabies tag if applicable.
• Carrier and stretch collar.
• Starter supply of Hill’s Science Diet food and pet care information
• Medical evaluation and treatment for problems that were diagnosed during the exam.
