CT Humane, Making a Difference for Over 128 Years!

The Connecticut Humane Society has been making a significant impact and positive difference in our communities for over a century.

They are proud to announce two important improvements to their adoptions program that continue to highlight their commitment to setting the standard in shelter care and service to their customers.

Going forward all cats and dogs adopted from the Connecticut Humane Society will have a free microchip provided by 24PetWatch and will come with a FREE 30-day ShelterCare pet health insurance policy.  Some restrictions apply.

Current minimum adoption donations:

CANINES: Puppies - $160, Dogs 1-7 years old - $85, Dogs over 8 years old - $65

FELINES: Kittens - $110, Cats 1-7 years old - $75, Cats over 8 years old - $55

The adoptions benefit package now includes:

NEW BENEFIT: FREE 30-day policy of ShelterCare pet health insurance.

A consultation with our staff to help select the most suitable companion for your lifestyle.

Heartworm test and bordetella vaccine for dogs. FIV/FELV testing for cats.

Spay/Neuter.

Flea treatment and deworming treatment.

Appropriate vaccinations according to the age of the pet, including rabies.

Identification tags and rabies tag if applicable.

Collar and leash for dogs.  Carrier and stretch collar for cats.

Starter supply of food and pet care information

All canines 6 months of age or older are temperament tested for adoption suitability.

Behavioral support for canines and their new families.

Discounted rate available on obedience classes for all canines.

Medical evaluation and treatment for problems that were diagnosed during the exam.
