Astrology for Pets
SEPTEMBER 2009 HOROSCOPE

Mercury will be in retrograde for most of September starting on the 7th.  This is the time where communications breakdown and misunderstandings happen.  However, we can take a more positive approach and use this time as an opportunity to adjust our thoughts, attitudes and communications about what direction we want our life take.  Our pets better understand this than we do, so we may want to take our cue from them.

  ARIES (The Ram) March 21 – April 19: Your Aries pet will continue to excel in taking on new challenges and learning new things.  Take this opportunity to really understand what your pet’s needs and wants are, as they are really trying to get this point across to you, especially during the next 30 days.  Show them that you really care by paying attention to their achievements and give them the encouragement they need.
TAURUS (The Bull) April 20 – May 21: Your Taurus pet will want to spend a great deal of time outdoors or least be near an open window, try to accommodate this request.  They will also enjoy the human touch and will be extremely affectionate during the next 30 days. Take full advantage of this time as it may not last.  However, the bonding that goes on during this time will last forever.
GEMINI (The Twins) May 22 – June 21: During Mercury retrograde your Gemini pet may be difficult to understand and they may become frustrated with you.  You must remember to relax, have patience, and communicate very clearly to what is expected of your pet.  By doing so, you will reduce the stress for you, and your pet.
CANCER (The Crab) June 22 – July 22:  Your Cancer pet may seem very emotional during this time.  It is best to reassure them that everything is okay.  It is important to keep their routine the same.  If you change the routine it will make them out of sorts.  Keep their environment calm and relaxed and your pet will respond in kind.
LEO (The Lion) July 23 – August 22: Your Leo pet will really show their dominance during the next 30 days.  Listen to what they are trying to tell you.  With Mercury in retrograde it is important to pay attention not only to their body language, but to what they are saying vocally, don’t assume you know, really make the connection with your pet.  They will really appreciate your efforts.
VIRGO (The Virgin) August 23 – September 22: This should be a very interesting month as the ruling planet of Mercury is in retrograde.  You can use this as an opportunity to gain insight into your pet, but you must really be in tuned with them as communication is the key element.  Remember they are very sensitive and require your patience and understanding.
LIBRA (The Scales) September 23 – October 22: With Mercury in retrograde your Libra pet may seem a little out of balance.  They will need your reassurance and most importantly your love and understanding.  Make sure that you give them lots of physical affection and also compliment them on their good behavior.  Positive affirmations go a long way.
SCORPIO (The Scorpion) October 23 – November 21: Your Scorpio pet is very intense this month.  They are paying attention to everything.  If they feel insulted they will walk away from play and even food.  Make sure you communicate everything in a clear and concise manner. If not, you could be in big trouble.
SAGITTARIUS (The Archer) November 22 – December 21: Your Sagittarian pet will enjoy travel during the next 30 days.  Even if your pet doesn’t get out much, a car ride will be all they need to get this travel bug out of their system, even if it is to the vet’s office.  Just make sure that there is a treat waiting for them when they get home as that will cap off a perfect day for them, especially being with you.
CAPRICORN (The Goat) December 22 – January 19:  Your Capricorn pet will be very family orientated this month and will want to be included in all family activities.  If not included your pet will feel left out and insulted – be careful as they could be spiteful.  Remember that communication is the key this month, so keep your pet informed as to how and why decisions are being made - this will avoid problems. 
AQUARIUS (The Water Bearer) January 20 – February 19: Your Aquarian pet will be vocal and demanding of your time this month, if ignored they could turn your whole house upside down, and that won’t be a pretty site.  They also enjoy playtime and will be extremely active. It is important to for them to participate in these activities as it allows them to work out their frustrations.
PISCES (The Fish) February 20 – March 20: Mercury retrograde will sometimes bring out the worst in Pisces.  Their communication skills slow down and sometimes become non-existent.  Don’t be alarmed if they stop talking during this time, as this will pass.  Just be open and affectionate to your pet and they will respond positively.  All will be right with the World as soon as Mercury retrograde passes.
