PAWS 1st "Raise a Pint for PAWS"
Beer Tasting Fundraiser a Smash Success!

On August 20th, 2006, supporters of the PAWS Animal Shelter had the opportunity to taste 25 limited edition and microbrewed beers and ales at out first "Raise a Pint for PAWS" Beer Tasting Fundraiser.
This event brought together a wonderful selection of beers and ales, great food and prizes. By the end of the afternoon, the event raised over $8500! The event was held at the Black Bear Saloon in South Norwalk who donated the space and food for the event.
PAWS would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to event supporters The Black Bear Saloon, Northeast Distributors, and Merritt Wines for their support in hosting the event. Additionally, PAWS would like to thank to event sponsors PAWS patrons Georgie White and Janice & Vic Romley, local businesses, Pets Press, All Pets Cemetery & Remembrances and Garden Catering for their support of the event.
The funds raised at the event will help PAWS provide food, medical care and rehoming services for homeless and stray animals in our community.
