Celebrating 25 years of the Fidelco

Celebrating 25 years of the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, more than 3,000 supporters walked to raise money for the only guide-dog school in New England. Since 1981, Fidelco has placed thousands of German shepherds with blind men and women throughout the Northeast, bringing increased freedom and independence to the visually impaired.
The walkers and many of their dogs converged on Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut on Saturday, May 20, welcomed by Walk Chairperson Governor M. Jodi Rell.
Based in Bloomfield, Connecticut, the non-profit Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation breeds, raises and trains German shepherd guide dogs to be placed with blind men and women.
